Installation of your stickers is easy! Just like the original decals from the government it takes about a minute to complete and, unlike those, you won’t need to do it annually! Here are the steps:
- If the existing sticker edges are peeled up, frayed, or extremely uneven, it will show through the new stickers. Trim off those edges before proceeding.
- Clean the existing face of your old government-issued decals. Use a neutral cleaning agent that won’t leave a residue, like 70% isopropyl alcohol for example, with a clean paper towel or microfibre cloth. Wipe any dirt, residue, or wax off the existing decals.
- Wait about 20 seconds to let things dry/evaporate.
- Once the old decals are dry to the touch and free of dirt, peel of your new sticker covers from their backing one at a time and apply over the old government stickers. Generate some heat by rubbing your fingers over the applied stickers repeatedly to activate the adhesive. That’s it! (OPTIONAL: Use a hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting to generate additional heat to promote adhesion)
We highly recommend that you follow these steps, and failure to do so will void the product warranty and will therefore prevent Cover My Sticker from being able to replace them free of charge to you.
